Assistant Team Leader of ICD-Stung Treng

Position:    Assistant Team Leader
Location:     Stung Treng Province
   
Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) is Cambodian NGO, has three main programmes: Partnership Programme, Development Education and Advocacy Programme and Integrated Community Development Programme (ICDP). Currently, the ICDP is working in the north-eastern provinces including Stung Treng, Mondulkiri, Preah Vihear and Ratanakiri. Particularly, the Big Lottery Fund and SCIAF financially support the ICD Project in Stung Treng from 2013 to 2015. DPA is now looking for a qualified Cambodian to fill in the position of Assistant Team Leader to work for ICD Project in Stung Treng Province.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-  Assist the Team Leader of ICD Stung Treng in the effective and efficient management of the ICD-Stung Treng project and its activities through the provision of overall guidance to the team on planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programme activities;
- With the programme staff, prepare annual project operational plans and budget, and draft progress reports;
- Ensure that programme staffs follow DPA Finance and Administration policies and procedures and monitor monthly financial reports;
- Strengthen collaboration and coordination with other NGOs and concerned government departments;    
- Assist the Team Leader in institutional and staff capacity building and supervise work of programme staff; and
- Mobilise internal and external human resources to effectively implement the programme, especially objective of capacity building.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- University degree in agriculture, natural resource management, rural development/management;
- At least three years experience working with NGOs, preferably in the field of integrated community development;
- Knowledge and experience on Community Organising (CO) Approach and Right Based Approach is a must;
- Knowledge and experience working on small and medium enterprise;
- Knowledge and experience in advocacy work is an advantage;
- Knowledge and experience working with Indigenous People;
- Strong leadership and management of programme, finance, administration, staff development and management and networking;
- Excellent skills in writing programme reports in both Khmer and English;  
- Have experience supervising staff and demonstrate good team work; and
- Sound computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, e-mail and Internet

Participatory to Promote the Implementation of National Policy on the Development of IP

On 10th January 2013, in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development in Ratanakiri province, Development and Partnership in Action (DPA) organised a public forum, entitled “Participatory to Promote the Implementation of National Policy on the Development of Indigenous People”, supported financially by the European Community (EC) and Trocaire.

The public forum was held at Ratanak Lina restaurant in Ratanakiri province for 113 participants under the presidency of H.E. Nab Bunheng, deputy provincial governor of Ratanakiri province.
